The Tata Nexon EV facelift brings several notable features and improvements. Here are five key features of the Tata Nexon EV facelift:
Largest-in-Segment Infotainment Screen: The facelifted Nexon EV boasts a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, the largest in its segment. This new screen features an all-new interface, addressing the previous user complaints about the smaller and lower-resolution screen in the earlier model.
Latest Tech and Safety Features: The facelifted Nexon EV offers a range of advanced tech and convenience features. These include touch-based HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) controls with premium toggle switches, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, wireless charging, over-the-air (OTA) updates, type-C ports, and a new Arcade.ev app suite for streaming OTT (over-the-top) platforms. This updated model is expected to be highly feature-rich.
Refreshed Exterior: The exterior of the Nexon EV facelift receives significant updates. Notably, there is a sleek LED daytime running light (DRL) strip that spans the width of the vehicle’s front end. It seamlessly integrates with the LED DRLs on either side, giving the vehicle a futuristic appearance. The exterior design draws inspiration from the CURVV concept, and prominent EV badging sets it apart from the regular Nexon. The rear features a modern and stylish connected LED taillamp unit.
Increased Range: Range is a critical factor for electric vehicles, and the Nexon EV facelift addresses this with improved range options. The updated model introduces two new variants: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). These variants offer an ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) certified range of 325 km and 465 km, respectively, from 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh battery packs. This represents an increase of approximately 12 km compared to the previous model.
V2V and V2L Capabilities: The Nexon EV facelift comes equipped with Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities. These features enable bidirectional charging, allowing the vehicle’s battery to be used to charge external electronic appliances. This functionality enhances the practicality and versatility of modern electric vehicles.
