2024 Kia Niro EV Rolls In with Over 250-Mile Range and Sub-$40,000 Price Tag
Kia’s Niro EV enters its second model year following a successful second-generation refresh with minor changes for 2024. This compact SUV remains a strong contender in the electric vehicle market, offering advanced technology at an affordable price point. The 2024 Niro EV will continue to be available in two trim levels: Wind and Wave. It retains the same 64.8 kWh battery pack as the 2023 model, delivering an EPA-estimated range of up to 253 miles on a single charge, along with 201 horsepower and 188 lb.-ft. of torque.
One of the standout features from the previous model, including the head-up display (HUD), vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities, and generous cargo space, remains unchanged. However, Kia has added a dual-level cargo floor as a standard feature for 2024. The only noteworthy change relates to color options, with the Light Grey interior package no longer available for the Wind trim, and the Fire Orange Metallic exterior paint has been discontinued.
In terms of pricing, the 2024 Kia Niro EV continues to offer competitive value. The Wind trim is priced at $39,600, while the Wave trim is priced at $44,600, excluding the $1,325 destination fee. These prices represent a minimal $50 increase compared to their 2023 counterparts. Overall, while there are few updates for 2024, the Niro EV remains an attractive choice, especially for commuters with its ample range.
